forged custom knives and unique quality crafts created by Padre (Mike)
& Coyote Woman (Debbie) at their remote log home in the mountains of North
Idaho. He made his first knife in a High School Shop class in 1965. Forging
the steel builds a tough, durable tool. 5160 high carbon spring steel
or 15N20 bandsaw steel holds an edge and sharpens easily. Blades are flat
ground, edge hardened and tempered so that tang/back of blade are not
as hard as the cutting edge - for flexibility (not brittleness).
