Mr. and Mrs. Mann, I would like to personally thank the two of you for my new knife. I have to admit that although I am 40 and ready to retire from the military next year, the thought of receiving a new handmade knife makes me sort of excited and anxious for the mail to run daily. I guess the kid in me will never die. As in a business, it takes more than one person to make it a success due to both knifemaking and the dreaded administration. It was always a pleasure to speak with both of you as my phone calls were numerous (sorry) but, very enjoyable as I can talk about knives till the sunsets and not quit. Well now to the what you want to hear, when I first read about the Hunter Companion in Tactical Knives magazine, I knew I wanted one. Upon receiving it, the attention to detail was prevelant such as the file work and the blade finish the moment I unsheathed it. I only thought finishes like that were for stainless steels only or the steels that require an oven to heat treat like A2 and D2. About the filework, I expected to see just straight lines on the back of the blade but, it was a pleasant surprise to see the diamond like shapes on the back. The handle and choil are extremely comfortable as they will allow for a guard and not allow for the one's hand to slide on the blade. Lastly, I just want to say thank you for making it for me so fast. I great appreciate it and now will be looking for things to cut and boxes to open. I found this to be a very smooth and efficient tranactions and want to thank you all once again. Enclosed is pictures that I hope you enjoy. All the best to you and yours. Robert-US ARMY |
